I am a Dodge guys but I was wanting to see what Toyota would do with the diesel. I believe it was a Hino engine. I saw one about 4 years ago but they never started to make them, it was a dually.

I remember that talk of a 1-ton dually Toyota. It was good looking.

Dodge by far has the "best" diesel motor but I say that loosely. They've all got problems. Where Dodge lacks is their powertrain beyond the motor.
Although I've heard that's not the case anymore either.

by the way, Ford and Toyota just announced recently too that they will co-develop a new drive train together. So pretty soon it'll be a Forota Truck.

I use to follow the Dodge forums and the talk was that Toyota might be able to get a better truck than Dodge.
