I'm 15-20 min. from my Marina on the Delta.
At my marina, I have a houseboat. So in that respect, I suppose I do have a "lake house"
      Waiting for another good one!

Sure appreciate what you guys do but those deployments have to be tough. A friend of ours flys out of Mccord AFB (C-17's I think?) And it takes a toll on family life.

It's why I stayed single while enlisted. I couldn't be a career guy after all the hurt families I've seen. It's an incredible family that sticks together through that life!

Although, if I did stay in, I'd be retiring next year.

Now, I have 22 years 8 months until I retire.

And as if I don't travel enough for work I am now responsible for our Hawaii operations as of today. I better go update my frequent flyer info.

Congrats! What part of Hawaii do they work out of?

I just bought a Maherwake skate. He's a small local builder who's team owns just about every california title and a 13 year old who just placed 2nd at WWA worlds last week.

This board will make me ride like a pro! Yup, I'll just stand there and it'll do the rest!

That was a joke in case none of you realize my true nature.

It's translated from Fiver to English like this:
I know I'll still suck. But at least it won't be technology holding me back so I'll have no excuse.

My wife was active duty for a little but she got out after 6 years. We waited until I was halfway done with my career before having kids, so we wouldn't have to drag them out of HS to move somewhere. The lifestyle is a little different for pilots too, we travel alot but not for as long a duration as Army guys. We only deploy for 60-90 days at a time, unless we are going for staff, then it could be up to a year.

Yup, Our rotations were only 6 weeks to the desert too.

I don't know what I'd do with Army rotations.
