What kind of stereo do you have in your houseboat? I have an old home theater system with the Bose surround sound speakers I thought about putting on my boat. I'm wondering if I should bother with that which is by far the easiest route. Or go with a 12V Car stereo type setup...?Waiting for another good one!Comment

I laffed at that. Thought you were referring to the skiboat. The HB has a Pioneer with front aux and USB, a 4 channel amp and six car stereo speakers.. plenty for the HB. The home stereo thing is a bad way to go. They arent very efficient and you have to run the inverter to operate it. You are stacking inefficiency on top of inefficiency. Just spend $100 on a decent head unit, buy an inexpensive 4 ch amp, and throw some 6x9's in that bad boy. Less than $400, youre good to go.So this monkey walks into a bar...Comment

That's what I thought. It has an old head unit and a pair of little speakers. They look like 6x9's but smaller. 3x5? is there such a size? But I don't own any CD's either and there is no way of plugging my iPhone into this effing head unit.

Maybe I'll just buy a Wetsound ws-420 for my Tige and put my Arc Audio EQ in the houseboat. That covers the headunit bit and I've been wanting the damned microphone in my Tige 5 minutes after I installed my Arc Audio EQ.Waiting for another good one!Comment
