I have wood blocks on my trailer for the bow of my boat instead of a nice roller. I replaced the blocks late last summer since one of the blocks split and I used grey carpet from Home Depot - don't think it's "proper" marine carpet. But I noticed yesterday the carpet has turned white a bit and my boat has some scratches on the bow from those blocks I'm assuming. I'm going to try jacking the bow up off the trailer at home tonight and inspecting it a bit but what should I do? Can I put a rubber roller like newer trailers have?

I do it all the time! Actually not so much antibiotics... I did it when I was on Vicodin.
