I have one tire like that for over a year and it has been fine, but we tow extremely short distances. Less than .5 mile to neighborhood ramp on Lake Austin and a couple miles to Lake Travis ramp occasionally. Forecast today had called for very light winds this morning, picking up around 11:00-12:00. Late start to the day since wife had worked extra late last night, so we got to the marina at 9:00...to wind and whitecaps.
Just headed out, cruised around for a while, and eventually anchored in a tiny sheltered spot for a couple hours.
Oh well, still beats a day that isn't on the water.Comment

good day on the lake - a bit choppy and breezy to start, but amazingly smoothed out in the middle of the day until a Bayliner decided to do figure-8 power turns for 10 minutes in the smoothest section (must be an ex-jet skier).
We watched a couple Malibu Pro Wakeboarders do a demo. They were impressive.
Cloudy most of the day - Sun came out as we approached the boat launch.
Best part - Didn't see a single pelicanComment
