We typically head up to Rock Creek Bay. Less busy than down in Padre Bay. It's about mile marker 35. 3 different arms and only about 6 miles from Dangling rope Marina. Last Chance Bay is pretty nice as well.

I have been tempted to go down to Lake Powell but not get a house boat and just do day trips.

FAE 100% complete. After redoing a couple of things the swim platform is back to how it was supposed to be.

I am guessing the auto ballast install should be harder than a FAE install. I might have my work cut out for me. The biggest thing on the FAE for me was all the cutting and drilling.

I think the two biggest things on the auto ballast will be the nerve to cut the hull (practice practice practice on wood) and the electronics of it. I use to install sprinklers so the pipe will not be all new, but I know it will be a little different.

            Any opinions?

Congrats on the FAE install I would say the worst part of the ballast was the electrical but that's because I know very little about it.

By far my favorite Lake. Page has lots of hotels to choose from. Wahweap added some nightly slips if you don't want to pull the boat every night.
