If the strainer plugged, you would have more time to tell if it overheated?


I don't know, but when my brother's motor overheated, we could smell it... it smelled like popcorn.

I don't know about a popcorn fart though.

I think you're onto a good idea, Five. Put it in the "next Tige model" thread.

Factory installs an old-school tinfoil tray of Jiffy-Pop on top of the engine. If you start to hear popcorn popping, then you know your engine is getting too hot.

So, not only does it warn you, but then you have some snacks to eat while you are getting towed back...
