                      I do find it interesting that some people are he11 bent on new that they would rather get something that is not going to work rather than get used.

                      I know that a lot of times used is just buying someone elses problems but if you can fix it for less than the difference of new it is still a winner.

                      I worked with a guy that had to have the latest new Ford truck. He would get one, outrageous lease, then drop a couple grand to have it chromes out and new tires. A couple of months later it would get repo'd. Then the cycle would start over. One was a 1 ton dually, he didn't even have a trailer or anything to tow or haul. Go figure.

                      {sigh}

                      No offense

                          My first boat was "used" . Well, if you could call it that! Found a guy in SLC that was getting a divorce and the boat had 5 hours on it. Bought it for $18k and sold it 2 years and ~100 hours later for $18,200.

                            Only reason my RZ2 was new was because it was the first year for it, otherwise we would have gone used for sure.

                              I hear ya. I know a couple folks like that myself.

                              To be honest I really like my '99 but there are so many things I've learned now since buying it that makes me want a newER one, not particularly brand new:

                              EFI - mine has throttle body

                              Tige Touch is definately awesome

                              Auto Ballast - I'm NOT going through that trouble for a 13 year old boat - I'd rather keep it 'original' for whatever that's worth.

                              Good Tower - you all have me scared to run my Metcraft

                              Updated Upholstery - you can tell mine is a bit old
                              Waiting for another good one!
