I sat and lurked on here for like 6 months before I posted anything, sit back and learn from everyone else not just start a thread bitching about something you should have researched or getting on someones case for the heck of it, people like that irritate the tar out of me, stepping off the soapbox now
That is close to what i did, I lurked and learned as a guest for about 6 months or better. I did not sign up till I actually became a owner. And I still do not know if that Tige floats

For what it's worth...that sound like something you should have your dealer look at. Yikes!
Yeah, I towed that mutha all the way back up here, fiugring I'd start a punch list of things to address with the dealer as they come up. Nothing big, though.
OK, so forgive any typos, I'm posting on the crackberry while at kids football practice.
Regarding Metcraft, my (former) dealer (he just sold the dealership) knows Bob Metcalf pretty well (the owner of Metcraft). According to him, when Metcraft developed the Illusion tower they tried to get Tige to buy/install on their boats, but Tige declined. So Malibu went with it, and ended up with a huge hit. Tige was finally ready for a 2-leg tower after Metcraft came up with the Alpha-Z. Of course, Tige then got bashed for another case of "copying the leaders."
Then, Malibu stopped buying the Illusion, all boats (and towers) slowed with the economy, and Metcraft declared bankruptcy. I think that XTP bought all the Metcraft molds/equipment, and now produces that stuff.

I heard Tige, themselves bought all of the tools and dies for the Alpha Z, at least.
