For all that time holding the boat, all he did was: install MB-8's, annual service, winterize (WTF did he winterize it for now???), and replace the trailer wiring plug.
What he did NOT do: listen to me and omit the Pro-60's shroud when he moved them to the inboard mounting points, turn the speaker faceplates so that the iron cross is oriented properly, order and install the factory fix to prevent the rack bolts from backing out of the tower, get the boat cover tower leg openings cinched down, order a new WS-420 mic, check on the status of rear bench skin from Tige, figure out why my sub only works intermittantly. He didn't even vacuum wire clippings and other crap off the floor!
And on top of the poor service, he also decided to charge me way over MSRP for parts. Since I had $1000 Pimp My Tige credit, he felt that charging $1000 for MB-8's (with an MSRP of $800) was OK. $95 for an impeller. Etc.
Screw it. I plan to never have him perform any other work on my boat again. I have given him several chances to turn around his customer service with me, and he refuses to change. I guess he just lost a customer for life.
I feel for you Ding. I have said it before on here, I just don't get why / how dealers / stores think that the consumer can be treated like jerks and be expected to be loyal customers. The best is when you are asked about customer service and you explain your experience and the response is oh well better luck next time or to insinuate that it was your fault. For me there is no next time with that attitude.

That sucks, but I've been there too. These are the reasons my previous discussions about dealer territories and poor customer service got so heated and also why I've learned to be a big DIY guy. If there were no territories and dealers had to compete against one another, this bad experience might not have happened.
Don't worry guys, in 10 years when I retire I am thinking very hard about opening up my own boat dealership, with the focus on customer service, since so many dealers seem to be failing at this simple concept.
Lucky for Tige boats you already own and enjoy the boat and this experience won't sour you from brand.

What they do at LAZYDAYS[the rv superstore/campground]where we stayed. They have classes on winterization/generator maintainence/hydraulic leveling systems/propane stoves and heating systems ect.If tige had guys go around to boat shows and teach potential customers how to service their own boats it would go a long way in making sales for some customers.Boats do require some physical ability,as you can get twisted up doing some services. With a service manual alot of guys could do the work themselves, with the manual to help them when they had questions.DISCLAIMER I DIDN'T SAY EVERYONE COULD FIX THEIR OWN BOAT.IT DOES TAKE MECHANICAL ABILITY.

If you can one finger post then can't everyone be a mechanic?
In fact you now know how to post a pic or at least we think you do.
