I would have thought that they would stay the same but was thinking that there would be less wiggle room based on demand. It also seems like there are many that are ordered. Is that because there are not that many in stock at dealers or because people are wanting specific options?

I do not know how Tige does it, but a horse trailer manufacturer that I knew would only build a trailer that was sold and essentially every trailer was custom. Similar to Tige there are certain models but then color and all of the add ons vary from boat to boat.

I would guess that dealers are still not flooring many boats, so probably a combination of that and the desire for specific options/colors/etc. Just my uneducated guess.

My local dealer orders a couple of boats for stock but most are custom order. He doesn't usually order new stock until the current ones are sold.

Partly due to the economy, but mainly because of the lack of flooring. Unless the dealer has a chit load of capitol and can pay cash for his inventory, he is forced to floor the boats. Most floor plan companies have really tightened the belts and restricted the amount of floor extended to the dealers. This leaves them to keep a skeleton inventory and special-order most of the boats just for customers.

I know a few good dealers that were moving some inventory in the economic down times that were forced out of business because they lost their floor plans.
