My brother won't leave his in the water any more

He has a 98 Centurion Elite V drive. He left it in over the 4th of July last year. He pulled it up to the beach nose first. In the morning he had all the ballast he could want. It did some damage and was gone most of the summer but he is good to go now, at least day trips.
