I agree, didn't the also do a bolt through mod on those?

The dealer I bought it from did the bolt through mod, all they did was drill a hole and slide a bolt through the cross section of the tower and rack. The problem with my tower is the threads which are tapped into the aluminum are mangled, and I asked the dealer to fix it last time it was in the shop. If they did retap the threads they stripped them again when installing the racks because when I took them off you could easily tell. I've seen timeserts on car shows, putting in a SS bushing with threads so the main bolt stays in better and so I can remove the racks when I need to without worrying about mangled stripped aluminum threads.

At work we use a product called guardserts. They work pretty well.
