No the bunks are the same I checked the trailers with the boats both in the lake and they were identical. It has to be the shape of the hull that does that, You are correct the VLX is sitting above the fenders and mine nests in between when loaded

The boats are both 100" beam, so I'm puzzled.

What is the Beam on a VLX?

On my 22i Tige it sat way down between the bunks on a wide Dorsey trailer - I liked having the boat lower.

does your VLX sit up above the fenders on your trailer like my sisters?

I walked up to a a RZ2 not long ago and could not look over the side...I'm not tall, but that boat was up there.

It's think it's just barely above the carpet on the fenders.

One of our local PW engineers will explain this to us
                    Hopefully one with a PE

True...bu does not have convex hull, so maybe it's a deeper v.

Gotta be a different hull shape underneath, or a lower freeboard, no?
                        Waiting for another good one!

I already want to upgrade to an RZ2... or the RZR/R20 ugh, what's wrong with me!

I really do like your tires on the larger wheels. I checked into switching mine when I first got the boat. Boatmate told be I would need wider fenders and shorter axles, so I dropped it.

You should not lose anything on yours when you're ready.

the Z1 does have a notch in the hull that runs up from the stern to just past the fenders. I do not know if you would call it a spray pocket or not it is much smaller then I saw on the earlier hull designs. but that is what is nested inbetween the fenders. The VLX is smooth there.....
