Ah okay... I wasn't really sure about running that lead. My brother and his hyperlite rider friend convinced me to put it in my boat when his MC was out of commish last weekend. I gotta admit, it made a big difference and I liked it, but it's a bish to put in and take out, so I've been lazy and left it in...
Remember your trailer has to be able to carry that weight too. Make sure it's rated for another 800#

Lead is great for a compact ballast that doesn't fill up all the lockers, and can be moved around somewhat easily to adjust the wake.
Only two big downsides. One - extra weight on the trailer. And two - unlike water, which is neutrally bouyant, lead would literally help sink your boat faster if there was a big problem.
