Yes, we do have water via a hose from the Marina. However, there are a few strikes against the city water from the marina:
1. It is not on year-round (seasonal)
2. I don't necessarily trust it for human consumption (runs from hose under water)
3. The marina will shut it off to work on it without warning (usually when I'm taking a shower!)
4. On the busiest weekends, the pressure can be almost non-existant

I have a shallow-well pump to pull lake water when the marina/city water isn't available.

I will run it all through the sediment (anything 5 microns or larger), carbon (smell/taste) and UV light (anything smaller than 5 microns, e.g. bacteria, e-coli, etc.) filters.

Sounds like one of the little joys of owning a floating house...

We had a fishing camp in canada with that type of a set up. A bit of maintenance but overall not bad at all. I wouldn't want to be at the mercy of the marina for water if that's the way they operate. Have fun!
