When the Goverment give all the power to the corporations and lets them screw their own people, that is capitalism.

And it leaves the voice with the people. You don't like something big business is trying to sell, you just don't buy it. Big business becomes small business....

Non-Government Big business CANNOT screw the masses, the only influence the big business can bring to bear over the purchase of their products is their reputation, their product value, and their product quality. Capitalism ensures that the consumer be able to receive a quality product. Big Business has to be on good behavior, or they find themselve not selling anything and unable to sustain themselves.

Capitalism works because free market conditions, (unhindered by an invasive government) are self-regulating... A high demand item demands a high price, until by whatever means, the demand is fulfilled, and then prices normalize. Poor or substandard goods and services fall by the wayside as consumers choose the better cometition that provides a greater value.

Inflation? in a free market, when prices rise unexpectedly and rapidly, many goods and services become unattainable to a large portion of the public. People re-evaluate their priorities, they curtail spending, The market stalls, not unlike an airplane losing lift.. It falls, prices come down, the economy gains velocity, just like air over wings, and soon everything is flying again.

One only has to look at all the obvious examples available: the health-care nightmare that is Canada's, the collapse of the Eastern Block states, (U.S.S.R) in favor of Capitalism, the HUGE economic downturn and huge famine that swept China... Wow, North Korea is a HUGE success huh?

I personally would ask that anyone who thinks BIG GOVERNMEMT is the answer to follow this request: Please just move to one of those jacked up countries that are still trying their doomed experiment with Socialism or Communism, and quit trying to jack my United STATES, (Emphasis on STATES, per the founding fathers' original intent).
