Hate to say it, but I don't know what brand, weight, or syn/reg oil is running in my engine. Whatever my dealer uses.

One of these days I really need to start doing some of my own maintenance. I'm just concerned that I'm such a mechanical moron, that I'll screw something up and ruin a perfectly good engine.

so 'been reading up on the little motor in the sailboat. Atomic 4 flat-head in-line 4. Simple 1:1 tranny, with a reduction gear reverse. Simple little motor, except it has an updarft carb....
