Dept. of Homeland Securety put out an order for 7000 Ar15s and have bought up more the 1 billion rounds and are seeking more.

They also described them at "Personal Defense Weapon's (PDW)." If we own one it's an Assault Weapon!

The article I read said the ammo is not FMJ, so it's intended use must be domestically.

Probably a strategy to keep the guns out of our hands and the ammo prices high and hard to find. The next step will be too sell those guns to the Mexican Cartels
