Thinking about going to the gym...

Summer excesses are taking a toll on my mid-section dimensions. I realize curtailing those summer excesses can improve the situation, but I figure too, that if I pump some iron, and make the upper body larger, it makes the mid-section smaller in comparison....

    Solid logic, huh?

    It's not an optical illusion.
    It just looks like one.....

What year is your truck? I had an 07 suburban that had lots of engine issues. I now own a Navigator L....

'08...It's been pretty reliable up to the last couple of months, but I'm losing confidence fast.

Mine did fine until I hit around 60,000 miles. Started "consuming" oil. Turns out, another 07 suburban and 07 tahoe at my work started doing the same thing...all had the 5.3L engine that shifted from 4 to 8 cylinders as needed. GM put out a service bulletin on it. I won't go into the detail, but my engine seized and had to be replaced. I had been checking the oil every time I stopped for gas and documenting the consumption...complying with GM's requests. It was a nightmare...though they did end up covering it under warranty. Other than that, I loved the truck...it was my third suburban. I went to Ford last year after the whole Government Motors debacle....

                              Howdy!

I have been looking at Sierra 1500 trucks. You guys are making me nervous about GMC. I may have to stick with Ford or go Toyota.

Same engine and started having problems at 68,000. We have a 2002 GMC that's been great, but I'll be going back to Ford.
