      My daughters pick theirs soley on looks. I think they might look at the price also because they don't seem to want anything under $300

        I don't really know much about older boards and bindings. I think that the Byerly line tends to be a fairly aggressive board, normally with a significant 3-stage rocker to help pop a little more forefully off the wake. Sorry - don't have much info for you.
