My son is doing remarkably well. The Dr. told him yesterday that he is making great progress. He was able to shed the upper body brace he has been wearing since leaving the hospital, and is walking without aid (walker, cane, etc) now. The only bad (?) news he received was that the Dr. said he will never be able to go back into construction again because of the constant bending and lifting. He is more susceptible to disk issues on down the road. The rods in his back can can support it, but his disks will be stressed more because of the rods.
