http://www.tigeowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13743 Is this thread pretty accurate for winterizing a closed cooling system? Im thinking that he meant to say pour antifreeze into the suction house on the raw water pump and keep pouring it in until it comes out of the exhaust. I still would like to drain the other 2 plugs Im missing first which I think I know where there at now, I just need to get a 17 and a 8 mm allen head wrench.

Closed cooling still supplies water through the risers then out the exhaust. If you can drain all the water from the heat exchanger, risers, trans cooler and impeller housing, marine/rv antifreeze really would not be needed, but would add a little extra protection. So a 5 gallon bucket feeding the fake-a-lake or fed directly into raw water hose, and run the engine until a good color of pink is exiting both exhaust outlets.

Any drains will be a thumb-bolt type wingnut plug or 9/16" hex plug. If you risers have the hoses on the lower end or bottom, just pull the hoses and dont worry about a plug.

Thanks Chp, I wish I had someone close here to point out all the parts. Is there a spot to drain the water out of the heat exchangers? Theres a thumb plug on the bottom of the exhaust risers and theres 3 other small 3/8" pipe plugs on the bottom of each exchanger and I also got some water out of them. Only about a 1/4 to 1/2 a cup I'd say. Is the trans cooler in the back of the motor on the inboard or on the starboard side in the bottom of the bilge? Theres 2 cans at both locations that look identical but the one in the back has a small plug in the underside and I pulled it and no water came out. I did already pull off the houses going into the raw water pump but not to the impeller housing so I'll need to do that. Where would I feed the antifreeze? Would the raw water hose be in the back of the engine where it goes into the first filter? Or up by the raw water pump? Rookie questions but Ive tried to teach my self this far.

Sounds pretty good in between the Rev-10s I have. Its bridged on a Syn-2 receiving 700W.
