I think an LEL monitor (Lower Explosive Limit) Will truely let you know when its safe enough to cut on IMPO
Nah, just hold a match to it and look away! If it goes boom, it was not safe, but it is now

back when I was turning wrenches, i had nearly full tank on the ground swapping the pump. Owner of the dealership walked by smelled the gas and thought it was a fire hazard. He got our lot-boy to stand by with a fire extinguisher. After the owner left, I told the kid to move the extinguisher away. he asked why and said it wasnt flammable . I told him if you are gonna stand that close to me and the gas tank, then maybe one of the other guys could use the extinguisher to put us out, cause if the tank went up, so would both of us He took the extinguisher and moved way back

I think I will fill the tank a 1/4 the way full, than drop a bag or 2 of dry ice in it for an instand CO2 purge. Ill drain it than fill it back up with water and cut the 2 doors with a grinder and cut off wheel so itll be a nice cut
