I have a really high end line driver between my HU and the 420. After tuning it with the DD1, my amp gains were somewhere between 1/8th and 1/4 of the way up. After listening to it, though, I ended up turning the gains all the way down. I have a lot of power to my speakers, more than they can handle. With the gains set just before clipping, I didn't have much adjustability on the volume of the 420. My speakers got too loud, too quick.
