Have some good questions to ask. Not about salary or benefits.

Lots of HR people today want to hear what you have done in specific cases. i.e. Saved money versus tell exactly what you did to save money and how much (obviously even more detail than this).

Your exactly right. I have 5 pages of common questions that Ive been thnking of quick and detailed answers to. Im jotting notes by all the questions they will probably ask so I'm not thinking of something forever.

Now that I think about it Skippa, the HR lady did say he'd answer any questions I'd have. What would be some good ones to ask. Work hours, Job duties???

Some of that would be in the job description, which I would make sure you know and base answers around.

I am trying to think of some good ones. Why are they hiring this position? How long do people stay in this position? What opportunities will this lead me to?

The future / opportunity question can be a catch 22 depending on interviewer. Some like to see potential and motivation and others want to see that you aren't going anywhere.

idk - I will keep thinking, maybe others will chime in

Thanks a bunch skippa. Room for growth is definately going to be my first ? because it is a huge company and I think they'd like to see that and that is really what Im after anyways.

The hardest question that caused me to think the longest about, only becaused it had never been asked to me in all my prep classes was. "What is a salesman to you?" Of course this is not as aplicable in your interview but its a reminder that any question could be out there.

My input is to be a team player who can get along with anyone and will take instruction and out work your counterparts. You will work harder and safer than those around you. Just my

Great stuff and agree. As I mentioned tell why / how / what you can do for the above.

You are a salesman to get the job but don't lie. It will bite you. If you can take some notes so you can follow up after the interview.

What is this job. I presume a welding job but doing what?

That would help us determine what they may ask.

Another thought to all this is: Is this a job you really want? If so you have to go in positive with the desire to have that particular job. If it is not for you and you are interviewing anyway it will show.

Its actually a step in the other direction. Im not satisfied with being a welder for ever with no growth in my company. Its for a pipeline controller job. Business casual and monitoring and controlling a pipeline. I really do want this job alot because I'd b 5 minutes from the house. Could get to the gym, and most of all, go back to school and get a Bachelors so I can really grow with Koch. Thats the big plan anyways
