Go try them both on and see which you like better. I personally couldn't stand how tight the drysuit was around my neck.

On the plus side, after a couple minutes I start getting light headed from it, so I get less chicken and worried about crashes...

I have been going with water temps in the high 40's low 50's without anything. I finally got a 2mm shorty that I have used this year.

Bryce, I think 120k is not a far fetched expectation, but you might need a few years experience. Like Skippa said, your first employer will likely be a stepping stone uses you find the right one that will value you.

I consider myself extremely lucky. I never truly finished college but with my military experience I landed a good technical job when I got out and hit the lottery finding a medical manufacturer that makes equipment similar to a radar system
                        Waiting for another good one!

When I lived in TX I used a 3/2 full length surf suit that I got from a surf shop in Galveston. We used the boat all year round and the coldest water was 58 in Lake Amistad.

I don't think 120 is realistic for a ME after 5 years, unless you invent something you can build a company around. My friends from college that went into engineering started making around 30k and worked their way up from there. I think they are making 50-90ish now but it seems from pics on FB I am doing a little better than they are and I did not go into engineering, even though Environmental Engineering was my major and Geology was my minor.

I was also in the DINK category for a while so that help my wife and I get a head start on personal finances, and we bought and sold a house for a little profit before the market crashed.

yea, thats a good deal. 120 would b double what I make now. Im hoping the interview goes well and I will go from there

                                That's awesome

Even still, having a degree in the world is fast becoming a necessity. In my line of work, a bachelors gets you in the door, a masters is requried for promotion and higher pay. Dave Ramsey said it best when he told someone that the USA and the world changed in the last 20 years from paying you for what you make to paying you for what you know.
