I have never cared for some one making their opinion the fact. If there is a rule or law that is one thing but to not only add but enforce your opinion is another.

I have had upper scout people say that fathers can't bring their younger sons with them. I ask to see the rule, since there is none, they have to go in this drawn out justifications of their "rule". I say I appreciate your opinion and I will leave it up to the fathers to decided what is best for them.

I have met many like that.

In scouts it was all about showing the others the way and age did not matter to us. Everyone was welcome to come camp. If they could keep poace with the hike in and out.
