Just my opinion I do not want to start anything in here, I really do not like arguing politics or religion at any time but:

I cannot think of a president that was not wealthy before he was elected?

I'm pretty sure George Washington was even pretty well to do for his time. That is a non issue for me, if anything it shows me that they can run a business and manage money a bit better

They have to be! Us poor folk would never be able to have the connections in the circle of bazillionaires to ever mount a campaign and get it funded and get anywhere. You have to have money to make it at the top or you can't even get on the same golf course, same restaurant, etc to even schmooze with those folk.

There was an article http://finance.yahoo.com/news/how-ba...s-fortune.html yesterday talking about how Obama came out of the middle class. How he was a poor senator making over $80K plus he made over $32K for being a lecture at a Chicago Law school plus what ever Michelle made. If that is middle class then I must be way poor.

I would agree that $112k is middle class. Towards the upper end of middle class, but middle class none the less. No?


However, I disagree that as a senator that was ALL that he made.

I do not ever complain about ANYONE's wealth. I'm happy for anyone that is well to do. People worked hard to earn what they have. Granted there are a few that were born into wealth, so be it. Someone earned it regardless.
