Amusing story. Some of you may have heard of the 24-hours of LeMons, which is endurance car racing using junker cars. This racing reporter was at one when he recognized one of the drivers as a former winner of the real 24-hours of LeMans. This champion is racing with his kids in a beater car - heck, their top-of-the-line firesuits and helmets are worth more than the car. That's a great story! We tried to put together a Lemons team 2 years ago but couldn't get the cage built for a low enough price. My brother is now friends with a guy that could build it for us for the cost of the tubing which he will donate if we let him drive with us. Might still do it one of these years.
