Oh - saw some great redneck ingenuity this evening. While at the park during kids' football practice, a couple of young guys rode up on their bikes and pulled out a kite to fly in the breeze. Instead of your typical rope, though, they had this thing attached to a fishing pole. Got it airborn, let out some line, and proceeded to fish-kite for about half an hour (until they got it eaten by a tree ).

If they were a little closer, I would have given them a standing ovation.

Dingle, I must admit that I used to do the same thing when I was a kid. I used to use the infamous Ronco Pocket Fisherman.
