OK guys, quick question. I installed new tail lights on my trailer, but one of them works fine, while the other will not turn on when applying the brake (it does work with the turn indicator). Any suggestions? Bad light?

Possibly, you could try swapping the bulbs.

But isn't there only one bulb in there? or does it function differently for braking vs. turn signal?

I think it has one bulb but it has a high and a low light so that when your lights are on if u hit the brake it goes to a high brighter light so u can tell the difference. I hope that makes sense.

Sounds like its not getting the brake signal, if the turn signal words than its not the bulb

Makes sense. I would think the turn indicator would be using the same brighter light.

Yeah, but just one side seems strange.

Well I dont know how they are wired, but its definately possible that there is a loose connection in one side, or are we talking about 2 bulbs on the same side?

I feel like I have had this happen to me but im not sure. Reset the plug into the truck, make sure its in straight.

Fit - maybe you are only stepping on one side of your brake pedal, thus illuiminating only one side of your trailer brake lights. Make sure to push firmly in the MIDDLE of your brake pedal.

But, I would check the bulb first to see if it is separate from the turn signal. Then the plug harness. Than look at the wires leading to that side.

That's all I've got - not much useful.
