I am not sure I like Tim's line about it won't be cheap to get the adapters for 410s on the alpha z. That is IF he can get them made.

Were you planning on going to the 410s? Has Tim said before that it shouldn't be a problem?

I would love to go with the 410s as the 485 was always my favorite speaker from the pro series. I just know he has been working on an adaptor to put the 410s on the alpha z. Not a whole lot has been said about the adaptor other than he was working on it. Then he posted todY that if he can get it done it won't be cheap.

Gotcha. I thought maybe he had said previously that it was going to happen, and you had planned on it.

Well, I'll just keep listening to my old school WS speakers (at least when I'm pulling my wife, because she never remembers to turn the volume up when I'm behind the boat )

Don't worry - I'm sure she would claim it was spur-of-the-moment killing. Murder 2 at most, probably be plea bargained down to manslaughter.
