I got mine from SBFAN. Tige says it was supposed to be 18', I ordered a 19' to make it a little easier, but it's routed differently from the 07/08 RZ2s in the how to thread. It's routed forward of the kick wall under the helm before it goes into a hole with the fill hose for the starboard half of the bow sac.
At least I'm not off the water this weekend, trust but verify.
Glad to hear you aren't stranded without a cable, Ewok. I had a similar situation, ordered from SPBFAN - he called Tige to confirm the length since I couldn't find any legible markings, Tige told him 19-ft. He said that he even questioned them about it, because it seemed short, but he said they were certain it was 19-ft. So when it arrived, I cut out my old one, connected the new one at the rudder, and then found it was just about two feet too short to run it to the steering wheel
Yup - turned out the original one from the factory was 21-ft. So Andrew got me the correct one. Luckily it was during the winter, so at least I wasn't trying to use the boat while it was without steering
Glad that halfwatt wasn't planning to ride with us last night. Too windy. We still went out to the marina, just in case the wind was calmer on the water, but it wasn't.
So we just hung out with our friends on their houseboat. Cooked dinner, drank, and chilled.
It was pretty entertaining watching all the kids playing around on a little pedal boat that one of the friends bought. They were the pirates of the marina in that thing. Up to seven kids in a pedal boat. Funny stuff
