That's not unusual at all, not even sure why it's news - I had a 6 toed cat growing up and he was pretty bad azz! He had a thumb and could do some pretty cool stuff like pick things up.

The snake thing isn't as rare as you might think either. Snakes are often born with small leg like appendages.

Given the enviromental conditions of India, I'm sure there are plenty of mutations over there.

Frogs are especially effected, they show up all the time with extra limbs.
