Rode behind an Epic this weekend.

We went camping with some of my wife's friends and they have an '07 Epic 23' with 4,000 lbs of ballast. Even without full ballast the wakeboarding wake was very intimidating for me and very hard to get used to due to it's height and steep ramp. I did get the most air that I have ever gotten before, pretty crazy.

Surfing wave...wow, the wave has tremendous height but the ramp is so steep that it was unusable for my skill level and the pocket is very short. If you got into the wrong spot it would literally throw you into the back of the boat even with the "brakes" on. I'm sure he could dial things down and play get some length instead of heighth but we were always running with 11-14 people on board that all wanted a turn.

The coolest feature on that boat is the Transom Sound System, it rocks having the music right there while you are surfing. Tower speakers are cool but I think this is the way to go!

Here's a pic. Hard to tell but when you were down near the platform, it's almost waist high.

We had 2 epics at Merced for the wakesurfing contest. Even with the owners, and the best and brightest, they couldn't get the surfing wakes to be very rideable. Steep, double lip, and you get sucked right out the back.

Bingo! The reason I am riding the CWB Ride in this picture is because I couldn't even ride my Yellow Loogey, it made me feel like I was a total n00b at surfing again.

Grayrocks Reservoir up in Wyoming. It's where the Tige Owners Reunion will be later on this month.

That's what I thought. How full is the Lake? Any other pictures.

Grayrocks is pretty full but there is still plenty of room for camping. It's definitely fuller than it was for the Tige reunion last year but we still have a few weeks to go. I have a few other pictures but they are on my computer at home.

Went several years. That is the best place in this area to go. I was the one that started the Tige reunion up there. I haven't been there in several years. Now on a private lake 10 min. from the house.
