More accurately, check your lag bolts as part of your fall maintenance.
Blocked the trailer for the winter and noticed that 3 of the lag bolts on the starboard inner bunk of my Boatmate trailer were backed out almost an inch! The were all on the same side of the bunk which was weird. I wouldn't have noticed but I leaned on the bunk and felt it move. Plenty of bite when I tightened them up and they didn't look rusty. Everything else was snug or mostly snug.
Spent a comical afternoon in a thunderstorm about a year ago when a buddies bunk floated off his trailer and we were all scrounging for tools and bolts. Don't want anybody to have to repeat that episode.
