[QUOTE=dukesofhazzard;752373]this is my setup for the 5 hour drive to our family getaway

Dukesofhazzard I love the gas cans on the roof. Is that what the sign on the tailgate is for? How many do you have up there?

Our boat stays on the lake all summer so our only option is to haul gas. It's only a few miles to go so I have been using 4 six gallon cans. Not the best but it works.

2012 Acadia pulls the R20 the 1.5hrs north in the spring and back in the fall and to storage without any problems. The nice part is I get 22MPG+ on the highway when I'm not towing.

wow I can't believe I missed this, but yes that is what the sign is for. They wouldn't sell me the gas unless I have the placard. I buy marked (farmed/purple) gas on my way. I usually have 7-8 cans.

2008 Ford Expedition EL - V8, no trouble pulling the boat but only have to do it twice per season for about an hour.
