So, you are saying a 4x6 composite is just as strong?

I would go with more supports and trex over cypress, or current supporters and 4x6 composite. I found some 4x6 x12 composite today online for $96 plus shipping. That's expensive but it would probably last much longer than the cypress, and it would give a little lift for the guys with prop clearance issues.

Go to any trailer mfg and ask them to install composite bunks and hear what they say, then get back to us.

The question is more about when I'll buy a Mastercraft 265 CSX.

If I lived intercoastal (again), I would strongly consider that MC 265 CSX. Neat layout.

Yea....definitely unique. Offers a lot of "toy" for the size.

Hard to believe it weighs 7750 lbs base set up, and after a wetsounds install, fuel, stuff, people, it will come in over 9000lbs.

That's the typical weight of a 30' center counsel.

Those things were super expensive in the day, but now when you look at the current price of 24' mastercraft, it seems cheap.
