AS alot of people have said that the chrome or mirror illusions tralier fenders fades the gel coat so I decided make some fender covers.. Not quite done yet but almost.. =)
Interesting. My boat is 5 years old and haven't seen any issues but I don't see how the covers would hurt anything. If anything, I think you are doing the tires more of a favor than the gelcoat. They look nice! Good job!
not sure I did notice some fad on my old boat from the dimond plate on the blue.. Nothing buffing didnt fix.. Had to do something else so thats what I did.. Zipper style covers for speakers next =)

No, there's nothing wrong with it at all. Just rare, I wish I would have learned from my Mom! She sewed everything and is still making baby clothes for her great grandchildren
