    TIGE 22V Almost Completed

The boat is basically completed and has passed the lake test. All that is left is some minor details (graphics, foot pads, cleaning) and the boat will be wrapped and shipped.

That trailer sure looks anemic for hauling around the boat. I am sure that it is only used by the factory for moving the boat around. But it surely does look odd.

I do say that is one beautiful boat. My 22v has the same hull color combo and I think you made a classy choice congratulations. Hope you have fun with her post some pics of the maiden voyage and your first inverts.

Actually my wife made the color choice as I have very little taste in colors. She said I could choose the boat if she got to choose the colors and who was I to disagree.

We did get some additional straps that are used on the seats as pulls to open the covers. We are going to make some modifications in a couple of the covers to reduce the stress on the hinges and make the covers easier to access. When we looked at the boat at the boat show we were not impressed with how the straps were designed and located and felt this could have been better thought out.

I have also ordered a dual battery charger/maintainer that I will be installing when the boat arrives. I simply plug it into power and each battery is charged individual and the charge is maintained. I have found from experience from my old boat that keeping the batteries fully charged dramatically extends the useful life of the batteries, especially during winter storage. I did order the dual battery option for the boat as having that extra battery is a good idea so that one can get home from the lake.

And one last modification is that a power outlet will be installed in the front of the boat.

Hopefully the boat will be here around the middle of March. Word is that the boat will be wrapped today and shipped out tomorrow.

The local dealer has to acquire a trailer painted to match the boat, dual axle, disc brakes, led lights, swing away tongue. Registration numbers need to be applied. I don't know if there is anything else the dealer has to accomplish.

I ordered the first week in February and may have the boat in a couple of weeks. Overall about 6 weeks from order to delivery is not too bad. I was in no hurry and if the boat arrived as late as April that was fine with me.

          Boat looks great!

When I ordered my 22v back in 03 I placed the order in mid-Feb and it did not come in until early May....6 weeks is quick.

How did you get the pictures of your boat at the factory, did you know someone?

So you went with the upgraded trailer. I can not wait until it comes to Nashville.

Mark Gibbs was at the Knoxville boat show. We bribed him with homemade chocolate chip cookies in exchange for taking pictures of the boat being built.

No, but the boat is at the dealer and I have taken some pictures. I will be taking delivery on the boat on Friday the 25th of March. I have not been in a real hurry to get the boat and would rather that everything be OKEY DOKEY from the outset.

I will be posting some more pictures in a different thread sometime in the next day or two.

Yeh, he was very patient with me at the Knoxville boat show. I actually went the show 3 times checking out the boat, trying to decide, and bugging the tar out of Mark with questions.

I even had a couple of questions that Mark did not know the answer and he said so rather than shoot from the hip. He was able to get answers from someone else.

So yeh, if we all bribe Mark with cookies, and they must be homemade, Mark will probably continue to treat us well.
