    Hey Sheptane -
not sure if you saw it or not, but I have the black 24V that is at Bill and Donna's. If you have any questions based on owner experience, feel free to send me a message. Where will you be using the boat? If nothing else I am sure I will see you at the tige party this year!

I did see your boat over at WWS. Thats a very nice boat.

Today was the first day I saw my boat there. It still has the shrink wrap on in but we cut a few holes to check out the cockpit and colors etc. It is so nice.

Bill took some time to show me around. I really like how he treats his customers.

We use our boat all over Colorado. We really like Navajo on the NM border. We also go into Wyoming on Glendo and Gurnsey. We go west to Flaming Gorge and Bear Lake in Idaho also. We do one Powell Trip each year if we can but we like staying in our Motorhome rather than on a houseboat.

      Take Care.

I just had a thought on your motor. It may be that the issue with us here in Colorado is altitude. Maybe the thinner air up here is what makes the 380 hp motor neccesary. Anyway, Just a thought.

I think you are right about the altitude. I spoke with the dealer out here and found out that the demo boat I drove had the 330 H.P Black Scorpian in it not the 380. The 330 had no problem moving the 24V, we actually got it up to 50 unweighted and 47 weighted. I told him to keep my order in with the 340 Vortec. Thanks for the feedback.

            Tige 24V

We bought our 24V at the Pomona Boat Show in 2003. We usually take a large group out so lots of space was a must - it has been a great boat. All our friends wish they had one! I waterski and the wake can be trimed down very nicely for a great ride - and of course the teen age boys love to go for the big air on the wakeboards & they love the firm huge perfectly shaped wake of the 24V! We are adding about 1300lbs of ballast next week - not sure we need it - but we seem to do everything large - cant wait to test it out. We will be at Lake Mead in three weeks!

24V the best way to go

I have a buddy with a Mastercraft, two buddies with Malibu's. I test drove a 24V last fall and have always had I/O. I ordered my 24V the day after the test ride and it came in the week before Christmas and I have been dying to get it in the water. The family are fair or warm water folks, so it has been hard to get them in the mood. I am headed to Mead on the 19th. I also have a trip to Powell planned with all three buddies and we'll see who's boat is the one everybody wants to be behind, my bet is the 24V.

                its simply the best...

We've been braveing the 43 degree water for the past month now and it is so worth it! No ballast! We just got our 2004 24V back from Sampson Sports with their Cylone swivel racks. No more stepping on the side to get boards! Enjoy Lk Mead... bring the wet suits!

                  Thanks

Enjoy the boat. I just picked up my 24V and love it.

                      cold water

I have a 22V and love the boat. I grew up skiing behind a 17' Correct Craft. This is the first V, I have owned and won't have anything else for skiing and/or wakeboarding. But y'all keep talking about cold water and wet suits!!! We ski in Texas in December in shorts and t-shirts. Ever think of coming south for some real warm water???

                        David,
which lake do you ski on? I usually go to Proctor (3 mi from house) or PK. Any other good lakes in your area? I like to branch out and explore new territory. Worst I ever had to use down here was a shorty wetsuit in March......

We go to Brownwood if we have the full day or Lake Coleman if it's during the week and only have a few hours. Coleman is great during the week, when the water level is up, because we usually have the lake to ourselves or just one other boat. We spend a lot of time on Lake Travis and P.K. We have family on Lake Travis and friends with a condo on P.K.

                              Midwesty,

You are prudent to search for a good price, but it is maddening if you take it too far. I am on my second Tige, and I simply told the dealer to get me the good guy, repeat customer, best deal possible discount. I didn't look around, and I took him for his word that it was a good deal.

If I tell you how much I paid, how will he feel? If I find out he's giving better deals, how will I feel? I would have to castrate my dealer and it wouldn't be pretty. What I'm saying is you have to go with your heart here.

Having said that, I see most people quoting prices in the 55K range, depending widely on options. You can change towers and suddenly you have 2K more to pay.

If he quotes you in the 40's, please call me, I've got some tools to sharpen...
                              Be excellent to one another.

I got lucky when I bought mine, the dealer was just starting with Tige' and made me a killer deal to get the boat on the water, but I do not want to say what it was, but talltigeguy has given you a good base. My dealer was real cool, they showed me the options list with costs and I decided what I wanted to get from Tige' and what I wanted to do myself. Example, I had the dealer do a custom stereo (came out better that factory IMO and was a little cheaper), I did a monster tower rather than the PhatBudde they were putting on because I liked the lines better (saved like 1500 right there alone). I may have overcomplicated the whole deal doing it this way but I think I saved a good amount and got a killer deal. I am totally stoked with the boat.
