    24V anyone?

I have seen a lot of stuff on the site regarding all of the models in the line except the one we ordered. I am a new user, so I may not know where to navigate to in the site. Anyway, we are very excited about getting the boat.

We are making the switch from an I/O 20' bowrider to the 24V.

    Does anyone own one?

I would love to hear from anyone who does as well as anyone who has made the switch from an I/O to an inboard.

The boat has arrived in Denver, and I am very impressed with the dealer, (Wakeboard and Water Ski Specialty).

We are waiting for the tower and canvas so the boat can be readied for delivery in about 3 weeks.

I am loosing serious sleep waiting.

We gave up our old faithful, 23 year old, family owned since new, 16' I/O Tri-Hull last year for a 22i Riders Edition.

It has been the best decision that we have ever made for a boat.

Bill, Donna and all of the crew at Wakeboard & Waterski Speciality were fabulous to work with and continue to be the best dealer for us.

It has turned out to be a fantastic addiction for our family and we love it. We shopped around for about two years but finaly chose the Tige and are very glad we did.

I had a 19' Chaparrel I/O with the 5.0 V8, it was a very nice boat, and very fast. Two years ago we ordered a 22v and have been very happy with it. We looked at the 23v (the 24v did not come out until 2004) but I did not get it because it would not fit in my boat house (my slip is only 25'), since I store it on a covered lift I wanted to make sure the entire boat was covered (including the swim platform).

Driving an inboard is very different from an I/O, especially when docking. What ever you do, don't let go of the steering wheel when you are underway, especially over 20 mph. I did this once and almost threw everyone out of the boat! Unless Tige has changed the steering since 2003, the steering is designed to pull to one side (I was told it's called "loading the wheel"), this keeps positive pressure on the rudder making it much easier to maintain a straight track.

        We have a 24V Also

You will love the 24. we moved from a 2001 21V riders to the dealers 2004 24V demo. wow... what a difference. Quiter, more power, CRUISE and NO more ballast!! My guys are in the semi pro ranks and don't ask for ballast anymore. if you have no tower yet check out the Samson Towers for 2005. they fit perfect, look better than Tige's and have some cool features. Racks that swing into the boat so you don't have to stand on the rail. The 24 is the ultimate!

          24V ordered today

We took a ride on the 24V this past saturday and were very impressed. I am selling my 1997 Tige Pre2150WT this week and told the dealer to place my order. The wife and kids cannot wait. We went with a white hull, storm grey main panel, black split, white deck and West Coast - Red. Platinum interior, snakeskin, stainless appearance package, center bow insert and black piping. Vortec 340 h.p., perfect pass, Pro FLight tower and speakers will be installed locally. I was very impressed by the ride of this boat.

            Thanks everyone for the info.

2kims, We have also ordered the sampson tower. It seems like that was a good choice.

Has anyone seen the bimini that sampson makes to go with the new tower you were talking about. We have a great custom canvas shop in denver and I am not sure if we should get the bimini there or if the Sampson bimini will be better since it is custom fit to the tower. Any feedback?

I like the color setup that ddutcher mentioned. Ours is a platinum deck & hull, Pacific blue main panel with a black split.

One concern about your new order ddutcher, we talked to a lot of peopole who said it was well worth the money to get the 380hp vortec motor, so we did. Did you talk to anyone about that?

              380 hp

Thx for the reply. We test drove one with the 380 hp. and liked it, in talking with the dealer I was told it wasn't really necessary. I spoke with a pro rider at the boat show and he told me he has the 340 hp and it was fine, I'm not going with ballast so I am hoping to get by. My other concern would be insurance with the bigger motor, I heard from a buddy that his went up due to the HP increase. I do not want to be short on power, what does everyone else think? I'm sure I can make that change if need be.

                  Samaon Bimini

The Samson bimini looks good. Samson is a few miles from where we live in SW Washington. I saw it at the Portland boat show last month. it fits well under the tower. they have nice speakers too. i'm not sure if their web site has pics of the bimini, im sure they can email some to you.

ASk about the special tower he's making for the Tige. it was at the PDX boat show. NICE!

I have a set of the Samson speakers. They're nice because it only takes about 10 seconds to pop them off so you can lock them up somewhere.

                        Yet another new 24v owner

We just ordered a new 24v at our boat show. We did all white with blue west coast graphics and most likely we are gonna put the Phat Budde new Cha CHing Tower. Its gonna be sick. 4-6 weeks is too long.

                          yet another 24V

What motor are you going with? Mine was ordered yesterday - you are correct 4-6 weeks is far too long.

Another 24v here as well, love it. I went with the 340horse motor and has enough power, we have 1600 pounds of ballast and 10 adults (hope the CG is not listening ) and it still popped out of the water real well. Great boat, best investment (toy wise) I have made!

Thanks for the feedback - I was concerned with gas prices as well, they are talking $3.00 per gallon out here by summer. If I don't need the extra H.P., I'll leave my order as is. Sounds like Tige is going to have a busy spring.
