    22V Prop

Looking to getting a new prop because the current one is dinged up and the boat is slow out of the hole with all the extra weight. Can someone inform me on what prop came standard and what I should be looking for in a new prop (diameter, pitch, etc.) and hopefully I can find a used or repaired prop that fits the bill.

    Thanks,
    Ray

What year is your boat and which engine does it have in it?

Oops, sorry I forgot to put the year down. Its a 2004 22V R.E. I am fairly sure its the Mercruiser 350 MPI, I know it's not the Marine Power motor.

        Blue or black V-Drive?

Are you referring to the blue piece in the picture in this post ? I'm not sure whether that piece is blue, but I'm 95% that's it and I remember the whole 350 MPI and 315 HP difference, as well as I posted a thread a long time ago asking about vortec vs. mercruiser. I have the same cover atop the engine as pictured in the post I attached, so if there were multiple HP choices of mercruiser, I'm not positive which one, but I'm sure its a mercruiser and probably the 350 MPI. I have access to the boat at the moment, sorry for the confusion!

Yes. I believe that means you don't have the 1:1 ration on the V-Drive. I'd call ACME with that info and ask them what to get. They will not steer you wrong.

BTW, you can check what prop you have now by closely inspecting what's stamped into it near the base. It should tell you what prop you have, the pitch and the size.

I talked to ACME and was suggested the 1631 per my request for something with good hole shot for wakeboarding with 2k+ of ballast. Sound like a good prop for the job? Would this have much affect on fuel efficiency?

If it's a lower pitched prop, it might actually help with fuel efficiency because you'll get better response from the prop and the speed set (or manual speed control) won't have to hunt as much to maintain speed. I never go WOT, so it's not really an issue for me.
