    Correct Boat Lift Size 22V

Can anyone help me figure out what lb. boat lift I will need for a 2004 22V Riders Edition. I know the boat weighs 3900 lbs (dryweight). I have an opportunity to buy a 4500 lb. lift at a really good price. Is it big enough? Any help would be appreciated.

i would go bigger if you figure gas and gear and you sitting in the boat as you are operating the lift you will be close to 4500lbs.

I'd say you should be fine with the 4,500. 6k would be better, but 4,500 should be fine. I'd assume they build at least a little bit of leeway in there.

Is it possible to put your boat on it and test? Here are a few things to consider. Will it be in rough water? Extra capacity needed. Is it currently set up for an inboard? Lifts not set up for inboards can damage underwater gear. ( First hand experience ) Last Friday I had planned on purchasing a used lift that " should have no problem with my pontoon boat", drove over with boat and no can do. The cost and time to remove and replace in your slip may be worth a good look. Check for leaks when the lift is aired up. Old galvanized tanks do rust. Don't make the same mistakes I did. Just my three cents. Hope it works out.

I have stored my 2007Ve on a 4500lb lift for the past 2 yrs with no problem. Keep in mind I do not load it up with people before I lower it or raise it with full balast. It has been fine and I would absolutley buy the same lift for my boat again.

We have had several Tige customers over the years use the 4500 lb Hydrohoists with no problems. Any lift dealer can tell you how high to adjust your uprights for an inboard boat, we adjusted ours after the local marina gave us the dimensions.
