I am looking at around 45K without taxes.

I have decided to skip the tower lights and will add the fuel flow meter.

My son is not advanced enough to be doing the flips yet so I will wait on the ballast system. I need to see how TAPS work before I decide. We have a friend with a different brand of boat with the ballast system. An aftermarket ballast system will be cheaper than OEM.

Good comment about the mirror and is something that I had not considered. When I return to the show this weekend I will reevaluate my decision on the mirror.

      22V

      Ray,

Dude, I noticed you checked out a Mastercraft -- don't even compare it with a Tige . . . the build quality on the Tige is much better and so is the performance. What you'll also notice right away is that the Tige is so QUIET at all speeds. I found out that Mastercraft has an aluminum v-drive which sounds like it has marbles rolling around the inside. The drivetrain on the 22V is completely quiet (it has a cast iron v-drive built by Walters which are bulletproof -- I had two on my old Carver and they just kept purring along year after year). Also, I've heard that the Mastercrafts have had so many noise problems that they got desperate and are now telling the owners to put engine oil in the transmissions (so they'll be quieter, but you can bet that they won't last long . . . . for same reason as you don't put engine oil in your car's transmission !)

      Get the 22V, you'll love it !
