2009 22Ve Factory Ballast?

What is the factory ballast setup for a 2009 22Ve? It is supposed to be total of ~900 lbs.

a) 300 Front V-sac; 300 Port Rear; 300 Starboard Rear
b) 350 Front V-sac; 275 Port Rear; 275 Starboard Rear
c) 400 Front V-sac; 250 Port Rear; 250 Starboard Rear
d) None of the above

It is for the 22ft and 24 ft V-drives. The Z1 is about the same split but a little less then 900lbs, which is more then the advertised 600#

The 20V is 600lb's. Not sure on the DD's.

i have 4 tanks all together one in the place you put amps one were sub is 2 i back hatch i have 4 different switches to fill them

I plan on trying to build a decent surf wake (Ragboy & Surfdad seem to be the encyclopedias of surf) and it's good to at least have a starting point and a clue as to the ratio of the weight from front to back. I'll drop you a line later this Spring for pricing on some Fat Sacs after I finish reading through about 4,000 posts to figure out the total weight & ratio for a 22Ve.

It would be nice to be able to rent a pump and some Sacs to play around with and determine what is needed.

900 lbs. factory ballast as option on:
- RZ4
- RZ2
- 24Ve
- 22Ve

600 lbs. factory ballast as option on:
- Z1
- 22i
- 20
- 20i

I figured that the actual weight would vary depending on how full the tanks/bags get and may vary from model to model.

Per Larry's post, your mileage may vary depending on model year. Don't know if you are doing any surfing...from what I've read so far, it appears that the Z and V models like slightly different weighting (don't know if the different platforms are affecting this or what).

Check with ragboy, last year he had a board, sac, and pump floating around for just that, it cost nothing but to ship it to the next tigeowner.

You will want more ballast for surfing, all you need is a few extra hundred lb's on the surf side for a great wake. Will your 09 have the in-floor ballast? If so, go with my custom surf sac for the 22V'e/RZ2, it holds about 1k. or even a pair of V-drives will work. Lots of options, send me a PM.

We measured the tanks in the Z1 when it came out and found they hold more then the advertised 600

We found surfing to be better on gas then boarding in our 22Ve. The 09 RZ's should not have a surf/platform issue as they redesigned it. seen a couple pics, but not a whole let of feedback on that yet.
