    24V Running rough

I feel like a fool,,,,,,I had been told by the first owner that the engine in my boat was a PCM 6.0. Today while I was pulling spark plugs to check for any issues(due to it running horrible yesterday) a noticed my exhaust reads, Marine Power. So in a closer inspection of the plastic intake manifold cover it also said"Meets Coast Guard emissions specs-----certified by Marine Power. So now I look closer at the ownser manual and find the warranty card stating the model as "GM Vortec 6.0 375HP"
I deserve a whack upside the head!!!
Is this a good engine? Has anyone had theirs start running poorly after surfing? During my fake a lake session it ran perfect! I know I can only duplicate it running with a "load" at the lake.
I know I posted in 2 places, please forgive me!!

The 6.0 MP has had some issues...I'm sure some people will chime in soon to get you help.

Mine has had a few minor issues but runs great.

      1) Hairline cracked coolant hose caused coolant to slowly drain and thus overheat when the boat was idiling but stayed cool while moving
      2) Fuel pump replaced
      3) ECU flashed to fix some intermittent vaporlock, hard starting

I spoke with Dom today and was advised what could be the problem and what the fix is. This gentleman is very, very knowledgable and an asset to this forum.
I will perform his advice and get back out on the water. I will let everyone know how well my Tige' runs. It'll be a week or two. Thanks to all who gave me their experience and knowledge.

"Dude, no need to whack your self!"

It's the same engine either way. The difference is who the engine is marinized by, which means the co that takes that GM 6.0 and makes it ready for a boat application, installing the water intake systems, risers and manifolds, there will be some differences with the electronic's but the mechanical business end of the engine is the same, PCM or Marine Power.

Hope you didn't hit your self.

And yes it is a good engine. But like anything mechanical it can have problems.
I don't want to go to work, take me wake surfing instead!

Dom is my dealer and I can almost guarantee his help worked. Give him a call, 727-544-6440. He runs the 6.0 MP in his personal boat and knows that engine and its quirks inside and out.

Dom is great!! My boat is running awesome after speaking with Dom and his advice to "modify" the thermostat housing has so far been the answer. It seems my boat would run hot at surfing speeds, causing vapor lock.
