      bimini

Thanks for the pix. I believe the price is so high because the price includes the extension. Kito, did they make one similar to the factory bimini? If so, how'd they do? If I end up getting it custom made, I will post the price and some pix. I hear great lakes boat tops (http://www.greatlakesboattop.com/) makes the tige factory biminis now(that may be bad info, but thats what i heard). I will call them monday. I wish I could just call my dealer, and they could order it. Silly me, but I also figured they would have biminis in stock to sell to customers. I would like to support my dealer, but I may have to go elsewhere.

      thanks

I have not got it yet. I ordered it last week. From what they told me it is just like the Tige factory one. I looked at pictures of them and it looks like they build a really nice top. I figured since they were a little cheaper I would give them a try. I hope its nice.

            ?

you are probably right, however you can also get an extension or sun shade that helps. I have found that if you call greatlakes boattops with the tige part numbers, they can order the bimini for you.

I would recommend gratlakesboattops.com if you want the factory bimini. Of course, I would go through your dealer as a first resort though. I wold recommend calling Tige and getting the bimini part number, then ordering. The bimini plus sunshade is huge for my 20V, it covers all the seats other than in the bow. Below are some bad pics(in my storage unit b/c it was snowing today) of the factory top I ordered from greatlakes.

The only Bimini's that appear senseable are the lower Bim's like 22ba. The others that are 40' feet up don't look right and have a 10% practable sun shade factor. Then comes the problem with the wetsounds boat and all the speakers packed under a straight bar.

I'll be taking the Wetsounds boat to a high end custom top fabricator with the idea of a full forward Bim and full rearward Bim, and side curtains to ride out the rain storms.

Of course....the price might put me right back either no bimini or a store bought.

Actually greatlakes is the manufacturer of the 2008/2009 Tige factory top. If you order a top from your dealer, the bimini that arrives will be from greatlakes. That's why you can take a tige part number and greatlakes ships the right top to you.

Question for you sooner. Do you tow your boat with the bimini deployed? Also, do you tow your boat with the board racks swung in and board on them? I only go about 8 miles to the storage unit. I am wondering what it would hurt if I towed with the boards on the racks swung in, and the bimini deployed as long as I stay under about 35 mph(seeing i go 40 mph on the lake). Why do the racks swing in if you cant tow with the boards on? Maybe for skinny storage. It would be nice to keep the bimini up and the boards on the racks, but i'm sure it will be the best bet just to take everything down every time.

                        Bimini Top

Any chance you have more photos of the bimini top on your 20V? I'm looking to have one made for my 2007.

                        Thanks,

                        Randy

Hello everyone. My wife and I bought a nice 2016 Z1 last year, but are having issues getting the factory bimini top up correctly. I am not convinced the front bar is in the correct direction. I've searched the internet for help, but no luck. Any photos available would be very helpful. Thanks, Chief

Chief - does your screen name mean anything in particular? I retired from the Navy as a Chief Petty Officer and was wondering if the screen name is in reference to the same, or something else entirely. Just curious.
