I have been told by the dealer that my 04 switch v should do 5150 rpm at full throttle. It is doing 4290. Prop is 13x12.Prop people say this doesn't sound like a prop problem and that I should check other problems like throttle cable.
I checked that and have full travel on the cable and it is opening the throttle body fully. Sugestions.

1st thing I would do is confirm with the engine manf. what the max RPM is supposed to be. Next, I would make sure that tach is calibrated correctly.

Are you the original owner of the boat, do you know the history of this prop? during a re-work, props can loos diameter and come back with the wrong pitch.
